Becky Hajost
Chamber President
Becky Hajost is President of the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce (UAACC), a Central Ohio suburban Chamber established in 1977. Ms. Hajost's experience with small business development, economic development and management provide new direction and stability for the mission of UAACC as an organization that impacts the community and the region.
UAACC's work in Ohio focuses on small business development and business retention.
In addition to her duties as President of UAACC, Ms. Hajost serves the community as a board member of the Upper Arlington Community Improvement Corporation, (UACIC). The UACIC advise the city on economic development decisions for business attraction and retention.
Ms. Hajost's has extensive experience serving on the boards of the following organizations: YMCA, The Robert Fox Family Y, Main Street - Heritage Ohio: Lancaster, Special Improvement District – Historic Lancaster, Fairfield Visitors and Convention Bureau and Rotary International.
Ms. Hajost's passion for economic development began in 1994 as she and her family moved from Cincinnati to Columbus, Ohio. Serving the community, she volunteered to assist in the economic development and revitalization efforts of Upper Arlington and eventually was employed full-time by the UAACC. Ms. Hajost was able to achieve the American dream by starting a family business. She continued to teach these values through her work at UAACC and through her 4 children.
Her education at Miami University focused on public administration and marketing. While attending Miami University, Ms. Hajost's was actively involved in the Miami University Equestrian Team, Miami University Women's Swim Team, and Phi Sigma Epsilon-National Marketing Fraternity. Ms. Hajost also received her Real Estate license from Columbus State.
